Macey Kilty Two Wins Away From the Olympics

State College, PA - Stratford native and Team USA Wrestling Olympic hopeful, Macey Kilty, is once again two bout wins from qualifying for an Olympic berth. 

Three years ago, almost to the day, Kilty was in this same spot. A defeat of Kayla Miracle is what stood between Kilty and the 2021 Japan games in Fort Worth Texas in April of 2021. After splitting the first two bouts, Kilty withdrew due to injury sending Miracle to the 2021 Olympic games.

In Friday night’s championship bout of the female 62kg challenge tournament, it was Kilty overcoming Jen Page in a 9-8 decision.

So, it will again be Miracle and Kilty in 2024, this time in State College, PA on Saturday, April 20th.

The best-of-three Olympic qualifying bouts will be shown on the USA Network Saturday beginning at 5:30pm central time.
